First and foremost: this slicer works perfectly. We have sliced hams and turkey breasts at both 1-1/2mm and 5mm. The slicer did both perfectly. Cleaning is easy but does take a little time. It has been about fifteen minutes of casual cleaning each time. Not as easy and washing off a knife, but cutting ten pounds of meat with a knife is nowhere close to as fast, easy, accurate or efficient as using this slicer. To clean you unscrew one knob to release the blade guard, and then three easy to undo phillips screws to remove the blade. We use windex and water to wash and clean the slicer each time we use it. Well designed with virtually no crevasses where food can get stuck. We love this machine. And my cold cut sandwiches now are better than ever!

And this machine is the real deal!! I have used it to slice 40lbs of bacon that I cured and 20lbs of pork loin to make Canadian Peameal Bacon and it sliced beautifully!!! It’s quick and easy. The only problem is the cleaning process but that is true for all slicers. I would not hesitate to buy this and add to your kitchen essentials. I am happy I did!!!
